Joyce Hager — Executive Director

Days, months, and years seem to be passing much too quickly. Each time I write this column, it feels as though I just finished the previous one. An entire month couldn't have gone by so quickly!

The 2004 Membership Manual is on its way. This year the manual will be incorporated into the August issue of Model Aviation, which you will receive in June.

If you need information that is contained in the manual before you receive your copy, please go to the AMA website for the 2004 version. The document is in PDF format and the direct URL is: www.modelaircraft.org/templates/ama/PDF-files/memanual04.pdf

Chartered club renewal is quite heavy as I write this column, but by the time you read this, all clubs that have renewed their club charters should have been processed. The new 2004 charter information will have been mailed to the club contact person. If this is not the case, please contact Lois Pierce, club secretary.

Does your club have a training program that helps beginners achieve solo flight? Your club can present a trainee with an AMA Solo Certificate when the beginner completes the club training program and solo flight.

These attractive, full-color certificates are available for $1 each. For more information, please contact Erin Dobbs, programs coordinator.

In addition to these certificates, AMA has an extensive merchandise department that offers plaques, T-shirts, hats, and more. All items are reasonably priced and comparable to other companies. Remember, when you order from AMA merchandise—whether it is a custom product or from the catalog—it benefits you as a member by creating non-dues revenue. Try us out; I think you will be pleased.
