Multitasking at its best, to say the least.
Not exciting but useful is one way to describe an association’s staff organization chart when viewing it for the first time.
I submit the Academy’s HQ staff organization chart for the year annually to the Executive Council. This pictorial diagram of the departments gives the member an indication of the many departments in the AMA that serve the membership.
If you study the many boxes with titles and names, you will soon recognize that one person shows up four times in different areas. Multitasking at its best, to say the least.
As with most organizations, we have reduced staff in response to the economic times. While we have developed a larger marketing department, other areas such as membership, information services, and the museum have reduced employees in the past years.
