submitted this photo, taken October 1, 2011, at the
Twin Cities Radio Controllers’ Annual Float Fly, held
at Bush Lake in Bloomington, Minnesota. He wrote:
“The fall colors and clear sky made for a perfect backdrop
as 23 pilots enjoyed a day at the lake. At any given time
throughout the afternoon, a minimum of three aircraft were
in the air at one time and, as you can see in the picture,
two or three planes were taxiing and preparing for takeoff
immediately following the landing of another. For me, this
represents what RC aviation is all about; the colors, the
environment, the sounds, and the community of each other.”
Andrew took the photo using a Nikon D5000 with an AF-S
DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 18-200mm lens set at f/11 and an ISO
of 200.
