Robert Hanson ([email protected]) submitted this photo of Tim Seelye of Kalispell, Montana, flying a Proctor Antic biplane during the Glacier RCers Fun Fly, September 8, 2012, at the Glacier RCers Air Field. The Antic, built by Lefty Schwartz and now owned by Tim, boasts a 64-inch wingspan and is powered by an O.S. .90 four-stroke engine. Its first flight was in March of 1995.
Robert wrote:

“Tim has been flying for 34 years and is acting safety officer for the Glacier RCers club. The airfield is located on the east side of Whitefish Stage, one mile south of Montana Highway 40, near Whitefish, Montana.
“The site consists of a 70 x 800-foot runway with grass margins along each side and a clear approach at both ends. Glacier RCers hosts an annual fun fly each August at the airfield, where RC pilots from the surrounding area and Canada come to enjoy the event. Pilots enjoy great views over the open fields of mountains to the north, as well as views toward Glacier National Park to the east.
“As a club member and new pilot, I have enjoyed my experience with the Glacier RCers club and its friendly, helpful members at the airfield. Learning to fly has been a longtime passion of mine and I’m glad to have the opportunity.”

Robert captured this photo using a Nikon D7000 with a focal length of 105mm. The image was shot in Aperture Priority with an ISO of 400 and f-stop of f/5.6 at 1/1600 second.[dingbat]
