Joe Hass ([email protected]) sent this photo of a Cessna 182 built by Jim Held of Troy, Michigan, and taken at Addison Oaks County Park in Oakland County, Michigan.
Joe wrote that the Cessna is a Top Flite Gold Edition 1/5-scale kit with Balsa USA EDO 44-inch floats that are painted with Silver Stits. Power is from an O.S. .91FX two-stroke engine.
Jim’s aircraft features an 81-inch wingspan and weighs 131/4 pounds. Landing lights come on when the flaps are down. The Cessna is covered in White Supreme UltraCote with Maroon and Silver MonoKote for trim. Flown every year since 1999, Jim uses a JR 2.4 GHz radio system with nine servos.
Joe used a Nikon D70s with a 200mm focal length to take the image. It was shot with an f-stop of f/5.6 at 1/1600 second.[dingbat]
