One last open-field flying day
Joseph Vermillion ([email protected]) submitted this photo of his friend Frank Alfano’s Carden Extra 300 43% aircraft. It was taken on October 27, 2012, at the Capital Area Radio Drone Squadron RC airfield in Grand Ledge, Michigan. That day, he wrote, “at this point looks like the last nice day of the season here in Michigan. It was just an open flying day at our field, so not an event. Frank did not build this one, so I don’t have any info on the build.”
Frank’s Carden has a 126-inch wingspan and weighs 43 pounds. It is powered by a Desert Aircraft DA-200.
Joseph used a Canon EOS 7D digital camera with a 200mm focal length to take the photo. The image was shot with an f-stop of f/7.1 at 1/640 second and an ISO of 125.
