Critical Mass: Reno Air Races favorite
Wade Meadows ([email protected]) from Province, Missouri, undeniably loves the Reno Air Races. He wrote:
“... I have not seen a lot of model airplanes (except for the Rare Bear) that have been made in RC form. I was surfing the Web one day and came across the Roc Hobby (FMS) Critical Mass. I fell in love immediately.
“As soon as I got it, I assembled it and went out to maiden [fly] it. It was about 20° and the winds were about 7-10 mph. Before I took it up, I wanted to snap a shot of it on the sheet of ice that covered the runway.
“The airplane flew amazing and even had features like split-style flaps and retractable landing gear.”
Wade used a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS20 digital camera to take the photo.
