GWS Micro Processor Quick Charger
The new Micro Processor Quick Charger from GWS employs the use of sophisticated charging software and three different types of charging connectors: Tamiya, BEC, and even one for Horizon's Firebird XL. Its analog charge meter displays charge current from zero to six amps. The rate of charge is controlled by a potentiometer.
In addition to fast charging, the new charger will trickle charge at 65 mA. An LED (light-emitting diode) indicates a fast charge or trickle charge by illuminating red (fast) or green (trickle). It comes prewired with all three types of connectors and alligator clips for the DC power source. Fuse and reverse polarity protection prevents damage to batteries from power surges and improper connection.

Micro Pocket Tach

"Worth A Closer Look" showcases items that have just been introduced or are currently available. In this instance we're going to break from that slightly. Inside R/C—a new television series—is not airing as of this writing, but will be in a couple of months.
It has finally happened: Radio Control is set to be the focus of a new 26-week television series beginning December 30, 2002. Inside R/C is packed with action and excitement to lure a new group of modelers into our great industry.
Du-Bro Products is leading the charge to help bring our exciting hobby to the masses. As "premier" sponsor and industry/creative consultant, Du-Bro is working with the Outdoor Channel to produce this series and is absorbing a large amount of the production costs.
We spoke with Brian Bychowski (Du-Bro's advertising/marketing director) while shooting on location in Wisconsin. When asked to describe what a typical show would include, he mentioned that each episode would have something to appeal to anyone interested in RC, whether in the air, on land, or in the water.
The show he was working on at that time dealt with "The World of Water"; it featured floatplanes (gas, glow, and electric), boats (gas, glow, and electric), and more!
Brian was specific about the fact that this will be an exciting, nicely paced series featuring a lot of action. There will also be segments showing how to build, tech tips, and interviews with manufacturers and people in the industry.
The show's focus, in addition to entertaining the audience, will be to drive traffic to the dealers. The major call to action throughout the show will be for the viewer to check his or her telephone book for a dealer in his or her area.
There will be a Web site to supplement the show which will feature show notes, additional photos, tech tips, and a dealer locator.
