This
unique
receiver
design
contains a
main unit that
houses the power
bus, and it includes
three remote receivers
that come with remote
receiver extensions. Each receiver
can be mounted in a slightly different
location so that the system has a wide view of the radiofrequency
(RF) environment, creating a bulletproof RF link. More
complex aircraft can employ an optional fourth remote receiver
(SPM9545—sold separately) to further enhance the receiving
capabilities.

Support high-current flight systems straight through without the
need for a separate power system. The AR9100 is for models using
multiple servos that draw excess current or using multiple hightorque
servos, such as giant-scale airplanes and jets.
This receiver features a robust power bus that is designed to
manage high-current loads, as well as dual 16AWG battery input
leads with EC3 connectors for use with larger battery packs. It’s
designed with a soft switch, which means that if it fails for any
reason, power to the system will not be interrupted.

A young boy matures
among the tide flats of Essex,
Massachusetts, daring to
imagine the stirring world
of model airplanes. Facing
ambivalence from parents
and peers, an adolescent
in the 1950s and 1960s
learns who he is, what he
loves, and that being
different is not always
wrong.
Robert A.
Benjamin’s A Gift of
Dreams is a comingof-
age autobiography
of small-town life
and desires that are
too big to contain.
Beginning with his
first model at age 5,
Robert shares the passions of a
child and how they evolve with growing up.
Robert falls in love with the idea of model aviation and shapes his
life around it. As friends around him grow out of the hobby and
move on to other things, Robert holds onto his first passion,
wondering if he can, in fact, build an RC model airplane.
An excerpt of the book reads:
“From my reading I also knew about another kind of model that
seemed almost too wonderful to be real, but Mr. Wilkins at the hobby
shop assured me that there really was such a thing as radio controlled
model airplanes.”
Good grades, holding multiple jobs, and being an elite ROTC
member are balanced with the yearning to build an RC model. Many
warn Robert that RC flight has its pitfalls, and some tell him he will
never be able to do it. After finding support in unexpected places and
the ability within himself, Robert works devotedly in an attempt to
prove popular opinion wrong.
Robert A. Benjamin’s writing style reflects the passion he feels
for this part of his life. He uses vivid imagery to succinctly describe
the brilliance of life among waterways and marshy fields. His
recounts of journeys along the river have readers feeling the breeze in
the trees and the waves smacking along the shore. Contrastingly,
readers experience the loss felt with each broken airplane.
A Gift of Dreams is a tender story illustrating blossoming
adolescence and how some dreams never end. It is a story that is
certain to be enjoyed by all readers—not just the model builder. The
message leaves readers remembering what their dreams were as
children and why, after all these years, they may have managed to
disappear.

Go fast without spending countless hours at the workbench or
bending the
checkbook. This
delta-wing design
owes its good looks
to the popular
turbine-powered
sport models that
cost thousands of
dollars to own. The
6mm Depron foam
model comes
preprinted in a
choice of two color schemes (red or blue).
There is no need to study plans or cut out intricate pieces; these
parts are CNC router-cut and locate the servo and equipment
locations for you. All parts are tab notched to assure a quick and
accurate build. All hardware needed to complete the model is
included.
Depending on power choice, the AeroCat is capable of speeds
in excess of 70 mph with unlimited vertical, yet it flies equally
well at low to
moderate speeds.
We found the
original AeroCat to
be fun, and it was
even better with the
optional rudder
control.
The AeroCat V2
is improved with
the addition of more
than 4 more feet of
carbon fiber and a
new trim scheme
(the red version shown). This aircraft is much stiffer and more
durable than ever before, and the carbon-fiber LEs virtually
eliminate high-speed flex and flutter.

This is the biggest O.S. Surpass yet! It is a fuel-injected
version of the awesome 2.00 cu. in. Surpass power plant. Fuel
injection boosts power and performance even more, making this
an excellent choice for powering large-scale aircraft.
Higher torque allows the 200 FS-FI to swing bigger
propellers with ease, and four-stroke operation provides a
quieter, more realistic airplane sound. This engine is supplied
with a multidirectional muffler for mounting versatility.

RC Screen
Protectors have
been tested on
cars’
windshields for
more than a
year and to
more than 155
degrees
Fahrenheit. You
can be certain
that if, after
many years,
you choose to
replace or remove your Screen Protector, it will come off as if
it were applied yesterday.
The largest benefit to using a screen protector is what it can
do for transmitters that already have scratches and scuffing.
Users report that they have applied one of the Screen
Protectors to a “well used” (if not damaged) transmitter, and
people have mistaken it for new.
Each screen protector is precision-engineered for your
specific
transmitter.
Versions are
available for
such popular
models as the
Futaba 9C,
Spektrum
DX7, and JR
9303, and more
will be ready
soon. Every
radius,
buttonhole, and
control wheel
is exactly
where it should be. A pilot who uses a high-end radio should
notice that the feel of its touch screen is actually improved
with the application of a Screen Protector.

This company goes full fuselage with the introduction of its
Extra 260 aerobatic kit. Airfoilz designs and produces model
aircraft that are fun to fly with a “best in class” performance.
Following the path of its Yak and Edge, the Extra 260 can fly in
15-20 mph and faster winds, and it excels in 3-D and IMAC
(International Miniature Aerobatic Club)-style flying.
The fuselage uses a hybrid construction consisting of a foam
skin with a light-plywood crutch assembly. This results in a
lightweight, extremely rigid, no-twist design. The wing uses
Airfoilz’ proven folded-Depron-skin, balsa-I-beam-spar design.
The Extra 260
comes as a kit
with laser-cut
parts that are
designed to
interlock for
proper alignment.
The fuselage
usually takes less
than 11/2 hours to
assemble.
The model uses
two servos for the
40-inch wing’s
ailerons and one
servo each for the
elevator and rudder. The Extra 260 kit comes complete with
hardware, a pull-pull rudder setup, and decals.
