Indian Creek School Program
THE INDIAN CREEK After School Program at Crownsville, Maryland was conceived in the fall of 1996 with the idea of having interested students learn how to build and fly Radio Control (RC) model airplanes. The program was started by the joint effort of school officials Tracy Coleman, Bruce Crossman, and program director Bob McDaniel. After the program was approved, the first step was to line up a group who would commit to teach the class. Bob approached the Chesapeake Bay Radio Control Club (CBRCC) to find members who would conduct the building and flying sessions, and nine people volunteered. All of the instructors were accomplished RC modelers, and some had a background in full-scale aviation.
