"WHAT CAN WE DO to maintain interest and encourage new members throughout the winter months?" That question, without a doubt, has vexed most model airplane clubs at one time or another. As a way of strengthening membership involvement, the Lafayette Esquadrille Control Line Club of St. Louis, MO sponsored a building contest. This project was selected after noting that previous club records from the 1960s and 1970s indicated this to be a proven method of reviving modeling interests.
