Ralph “Bud” Tenny
INDOOR FF lost one of its giants when
Ralph “Bud” Tenny died peacefully in his
home on October 7, 2005. Bud was a
master craftsman, designer, writer, and
tireless supporter of Indoor FF. He leaves
behind Jody, his wife of 42 years, two
children, one grandchild, and one greatgranddaughter.

“YOU’RE CRAZY,” responded A2Z Corp. owner Tim Goldstein’s
wife, Karen, when he approached her with the news in 2006.
“We’ve just bought a major model airplane kit manufacturer—
Peck-Polymers,” he said.

THE YEARS after the Second World War were, without a doubt, a time of rediscovery. The late Forties and early Fifties saw the rebirth of many old American classics that the war had dampened. Aviation, too, enjoyed a rebirth at this time. More people were flying than ever before, and more were catching on to a new aviation craze, homebuilts. Homebuilts and homebuilders haven't changed much since those years. The founding of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), now the governing body for homebuilders and sport aviation enthusiasts in the U.S., gave aspiring designers and builders a firm footing from which to start. One such designer was Jim Bede.
