Hungarian Rhapsody

Who says you can't go home again? The first time I had a model airplane in my hands was 52 years ago in Hungary. Shortly after that I began building models and took part in my first contest for microfilm-covered Indoor models. I took first place as a modeler not affiliated with a club. While I was making microfilm in the family bathtub, I was also building outdoor models - gliders and rubber-powered planes. A high school classmate introduced me to his uncle, George Benedek - the top modeler in Hungary at the time. George won every contest he entered, and his innovative designs appeared in every issue of the illustrated magazine Young Flier.
