AS A SIMITAR enthusiast, I'd never given much thought to the foam I use for the wing cores in my models. But the recent headlines about the use of foam at fast food restaurants for ecological reasons made me want to learn more. While I'd done quite a lot of research on foam-cutting techniques, I knew little about the comparative qualities of different types of foam. I'd cut plenty of cores, yet had no idea whether this posed any potential health hazards.
