Radio Control Helicopters - 2009/12
HELLO! I’m glad that you’re bravely
entering the helicopter arena this month. You
have to love the extended helicopter
coverage you are seeing in MA.
Pilots often ask, “When are we going to
see more helicopters in the magazine?” That
time is now! The emphasis can’t always be
skewed toward the rotary world, but it is nice
when we get extra exposure.
Getting Started in Scale Helicopters - 2009/12
MANY AEROMODELERS HAVE
probably gazed toward the sky, amazed by
something in flight. The airborne recipient of
his or her fascination could be an airplane,
bird, insect, or even a piece of debris riding a
looming storm cloud’s air currents.
IRCHA Jammin' - 2009/12
SOME THINGS IN life have to be
experienced to be fully appreciated.
That was never so true as it was at
this year’s IRCHA (International
Radio Controlled Helicopter)
Jamboree.
IRCHA Helicopter Jamboree - 2008/01
WELCOME TO the coverage of this year’s IRCHA (International
Radio Controlled Helicopter Association) Jamboree. It had the
highest number of registered pilots ever recorded for a single RC
event, and that includes all facets of radio control. The final count
soared to 712.
Radio Control Helicopters - 2009/11
THANK YOU fOR visiting the helicopter column this month. I
am writing this before heading out the door for the biggest
helicopter adventure in all the land. That sounds like some kind of
fairy tail, doesn’t it? Well, it’s more than that; it’s real and it’s the
IRCHA Jamboree at AMA’s International Aeromodeling Center.
IRCHA stands for the International Radio Controlled
Helicopter Association, and the Jamboree is the annual event held
in Muncie, Indiana. I’ll have more about this spectacular event in
the next issue.
