The Final Chapter: If the Whistle Blows, Don't Fly!
MY ARTICLE published in the March 1987 issue of Model Aviation apparently generated a lot of interest in automatic monitoring of 31M possibilities at the flying field. I received quite a lot of mail concerning the project. Some people wrote asking for additional information, others to say the system worked and they liked it. Most of the mail lately, however, has been requesting an update for the new frequencies now available. Keeping in mind these requests and the criticisms of the "haywire" approach that was used in the original version, I set out to write the final chapter to onsite monitoring of the available spectrum.
