XF13C .15 Profile Carrier
AS PROFILE CARRIER became more competitive, planes more complicated, and performance engines harder to get, the Rocky Mountain Aeromodelers of Denver, CO began searching for an alternative. The club found a solution. In 1982 it devised .15 Profile Carrier as an entry-level event. The rules state that only the throttle hook, and elevator may move in flight, with movable flaps, line sliders, and rudders prohibited. The engines are limited to a maximum displacement of .1525 cubic inches (2.5cc), while a 70-mph high-speed point limit makes them easier to find and does away with the requirement for an all-out racing engine.
