`Extra Hands'
WHAT DO YOU DO if you want to do some CL flying but don't have a helper handy to hold the running model while you grab the handle? Here is a release that works every time, when it is supposed to and not before. Often, the primary function of a device like this for a CL flier is to keep peace in the family. Behind a lot of model airplane fliers is a spouse who hates balsa dust and the smell of castor oil. This release will allow you to fly without antagonizing this unenlightened person.
Hard Times Handle
TIMES ARE MUCH HARDER than they used to be in the Control Line fraternity if you need a new control handle. The demise of the E-Z Just Company eliminated the best all-around one in my opinion. Hobby shops that still have a supply of E-Z Justs are hard to find. The April 1983 issue of Model Aviation in the CL Aerobatics column then authored by Wynn Paul had excellent information on super-improved state of the art handles. The only problem with them was that you needed to own a machine shop or pay for four hours of machine shop work at about $18 an hour. The about $75 cost is okay if you can swing it.
