AVIGNON-in the south of France: What a nice place for a World Championships. The city is a walled one with a lot of Old world charm, and it is the center of a month-long art festival each summer. Tourists were everywhere, swelling the town's population from 90,000 inhabitants to over 300,000 during the month of August 1 was sure hoping they wouldn't all show up at the flying field!
