Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

RC MODEL AIRCRAFT technology is beginning to move, in a big way, into the military. U.S. and NATO forces are expanding their plans to use Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) for a multitude of uses on land and at sea. Beyond the military there are the beginnings of civilian uses for model aircraft derivatives in surveying, border surveillance, forestry, and many other fields. The whole thing got started in Israel when a group of RC modelers thought their hobby skills could help their country's army during its Lebanon campaign.
