W. Perkins

Walt Perkins and J.E. Albritton (L-R) are superimposed over a set of strong but ultralight shells for a CL Team Racer fuselage. The shell halves as shown are trimmed and ready to join. They're made of one layer each of Kevlar 350 and carbon veil-impregnated with Shell EPON 815 epoxy and Diethylenetriamine hardener. Shot of the authors taken at 1979 team trials.
