Summer School Model Aeronautics
EARLY IN MAY 1987 I was asked by the Pasco County (Florida) School System in concert with the Private Industry Council to create a summer school course of study for junior and senior high students. The program was intended to benefit economically disadvantaged and/or handicapped youth from schools throughout the county. I became very excited about this opportunity, particularly when told that the only limitation would be my imagination and creativity. There were, however, two stipulations. The course of study must be of high interest, and it must relate to the academic curriculum as taught in the junior and senior high schools.
