On Sunday, March 5, 2006, a large indoor flying event was held at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C., from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Modelers from Richmond, Virginia, to Baltimore, Maryland, gathered there; the group meets three to four times a year. They fly free flight (FF) and indoor R/C models for fun at the invitation of the museum staff. There seemed to be more spectators during this fly-in than usual.

I was invited to participate and thoroughly enjoyed it — you would not believe how small the airplanes are.
