The Dare County RC Flyers in North Carolina participated in the Youth Aviation Day program at the Dare County Regional Airport on September 25, 2004. The airport manager had requested the club’s support. The club had a static display in one of the buildings with a number of members’ models and aeromodeling videos. Many of the Dare County Flyers put on flying demonstrations outside. Thanks to club secretary Dewey Mann for the picture and the information.

The Scale World Championships are over, and one of our District IV members, Dale Campbell, participated in the CL event. The United States CL Team came in third — good job, team!

The event was in Poland and included several pictures from the flying and festivities. The pictures show the judging, flying, banquet, the full-scale airshow, and the customary opening parade of flags. According to the pictures, modeling is the same the world over. Thanks to Dale Campbell for the pictures and information.

Since the year will have come to a close when you read this, please remember to say thank you to all of the associate vice presidents, contest coordinators, CDs, club officers, Contest Board members, and frequency coordinators for the unseen work they have done for all of us during the past year.

Congratulations to all of the Leader Clubs and to all of the clubs that have attained that status for the first time. I hope they continue the good work in the coming year.

Till next time, take a kid flying.
