District V Report - 2004/04
I attended the West Tennessee Radio Control (RC) Flyers’ Toys for Tots Fly-in at Jackson, Tennessee. A 30-mph wind brought with it a blanket of cold air.
West Tennessee RC Club
- The West Tennessee RC Club has been around for 25 years.
- The field is furnished by the Jackson Water Company.
- The field has a fine 700 x 150-foot runway of clipped grass.
Immediately after the club was awarded its Club of the Month flag, the flag was hoisted on the pole under the U.S. flag.
There are 20 color pictures of this event on the District V web site at www.modelair.org.
District V Officers — Fred and Barbara Mulholland
Fred Mulholland is an AVP (Assistant Vice President) in District V. He and his wife, Barbara, get around plenty; they attend almost every Radio Control or Free Flight event in Florida and across the country.
Fred and Barbara have just returned from the 50th King Orange Internationals in Palm Bay, Florida. Fred says the contest was dedicated to Ray Mathews, designer of a famous Free Flight model, the Fubar.
Barbara Mulholland was the contest director (CD) at a recent Walt Good Memorial SAM contest held in Zephyrhills, Florida.
