District XI - 2006/07
CHARLES O’DONNELL sent in this report and pictures about a planned Indoor meet in Oregon. By the time you read this, the event will have passed, but it is something to watch for next year. Thank you, Charles.
“The Willamette Modelers Club (WMC) of Oregon has run four Indoor Free Flight meets so far this season and has just one more on the schedule. It takes place on April 22-23 at the South Albany High School in Albany, Oregon, and includes a seminar on indoor flying on Saturday evening.
“The event was on the Contest Calendar in MA, so those interested knew that it was coming up. There were 15 contestants at the club’s previous event, and we hope for that many in April, including several high-school kids who come from Vancouver, Washington, to fly Science Olympiad models.
“I have included some pictures I took at one of the meets while trying out some new camera gear.”
