SATURDAY, JUNE 26, dawned calm and
clear. The Helena Flying Tigers’ first
Helicopter Fly-In was off to a good start.
Things got even better when the crew from
Heliproz showed up with a Raptor-50 with
an engine to be raffled off by the club. Thank
you, Eric!

EACH YEAR Keith Dewey hosts the Great
North Idaho Invitational Float Fly at his
home on beautiful Lake Coeur d’Alene. Bob
Harper, the event’s chief photographer and
historian, was gracious enough to send the
following photos of this event.

EVERY YEAR I receive requests for
information about the Salmon Arm British
Columbia Float-Fly. This event is the first
full weekend in September. The location is
Sandy Point Beach Campground, 2100
Sandy Point Rd., Salmon Arm, B.C. Canada.

SPRING in the Northwest, in many cases,
does not mean the start of the flying season.
Many fields are still very wet; ours has 14
inches of hard frozen snow, so activities are
few and far between.

was held again in Monroe, Washington, last
February and it was the best ever. There was
something for everybody
