THE SOCIETY of Antique Modelers
(SAM) Spring Fling in Alaska: On May 1,
SAM Chapter 65 held its annual Spring
Fling, the no-contest contest of the spring.
District XI - 2008/09
Northwest Skyraiders CL club in the Puget
Sound area, sent in a report on the club’s
27th Annual Stuntathon, featuring Navy
Carrier and Stunt events. Dave CDed the
event.
The Stuntathon was held June 21-22 at
the Pierce County Airport (Thun Field) in
Puyallup, Washington. The activity was
supported by the airport management,
Spencer Aviation, and the Hangar Inn
Restaurant overlooking the flying activities.
District XI - 2010/08
THE MINIATURE Aircraft Association of
Tri Cities, Washington, held its Pacific
NorthWest Float Fly on the third weekend in
May. Twenty-eight pilots attended the
innaugural event.
District XI - 2010/09
RC FLYERS ON PARADE: On June 5,
2010, Shelton, Washington, hosted the
annual Paul Bunyan Parade during the
Mason County Forest Festival.
District XI - 2012/02
AS IN ALL things, there is a time to retire.
I made that decision last fall and talked to
several of my AVPs about it. Some
indicated that they were considering retiring
as well.
