EACH SPRING during the first week of June, fliers from both sides of the border congregate at Sandy Point near Salmon Arm, British Columbia, for a rite of spring. This is one of the largest float-flys in the Northwest that I know of and has been going on for nearly two decades at different locations in this area.

This event will be held again on the first weekend of September at the same place, or you could come up the week before and attend the fun-fly at Vernon, British Columbia, approximately 30 miles to the south. It’s another great event. I am sure once you visit either one you will come back. I have—22 times!
