President’s Perspective - 2004/08
I WENT TO Washington DC, so this
column will be full of abbreviations which
the government is so fond of using. I’ll try to
define each as it is used, but I will begin by
making sure you know that AMA is “us,”
FAA is the Federal Aviation Administration,
and FCC is the Federal Communications
Commission.
President’s Perspective - 2006/05
“Even an activity which has been taking place
for decades can be challenged.”
President’s Perspective - 2006/04
Why are we the Academy of Model Aeronautics?
President's Perspective - 2008/01
This is my last column and I’ll miss
writing them. Not really! It is
difficult to come up with something
to base a column on each month.
Among the gems of wisdom I remember is
from the late Jeremiah Courtney, AMA’s
general counsel many years ago. He said that
conventional wisdom has it that to show
someone how short a month is, commit him to
making a large monthly payment on
something. Jeremiah also said that
conventional wisdom was wrong, and that if
one is to really show someone how short a
month is, commit him to writing a monthly
column.
President’s Perspective - 2004/04
Everything seems to
have worked out great.
