Free Flight Indoor - 2015/04
With the new rules for Fédération Aéronautique Internationale-class Indoor model aircraft (F1D) and the adoption of Indoor micro aircraft (F1R) as an AMA event, it did not take long for the first records to be set in 2015.
FREE FLIGHT INDOOR - 2015/01
The 2015 flying season is upon us and some new rules are in effect as of January 1, 2015. The minimum weight for Fédération Aéronautique Internationale F1D Indoor Free Flight competition models is now 1.4 grams with a maximum motor weight of .400 grams.
FF INDOOR - 2014/10
Effective January 1, 2015, F1D rules will change. The rules change was voted on earlier this year and the result is that the minimum weight for F1D is going up from 1.2 grams to 1.4 grams and the maximum allowable motor weight is being reduced from 600 mg to 400 mg. This rules change will invalidate all current AMA Indoor records for F1D. The slate will be clean starting January 1, so get those record trials sanctions in!
FF Indoor 2014/07
The 2014 FAI World Indoor F1D Championship was held once again in the salt mine in Slănic, Romania. The 2014 US Senior F1D Team was made up of John Kagan, Yuan Kang Lee, and Bret Sanborn.
FF Indoor 2014/04
I want to start my first column by thanking John Kagan for his dedication in writing the Indoor column for the past 10 years. Indoor FF has a long heritage and ensuring that Indoor activities are regularly published can be difficult. On behalf of the Indoor FF community, please accept a heartfelt thank-you!
