Radio Control Combat - 2006/01
Where is RC Scale Combat going? ONE QUESTION that I have heard a
number of times is, “Where is RC Scale
Combat going?” The question is prompted
by issues including a decline of participation
in Scale RC Combat as well as some
confusing conflicts between the rules of the
two most popular Scale events: 2610 and
2548.
RADIO CONTROL COMBAT - 2004/11
THE RC COMBAT Nationals held in
Muncie, Indiana, is in the record book,
and we are approximately halfway through
the 2004 RC Combat Championship
Series. The idea for an RC Combat series
was the brainchild of Lou Melancon, who
is president of the Radio Control Combat
Association (RCCA) SIG.
RADIO CONTROL COMBAT - 2003/03
RADIO CONTROL (RC) Combat that takes place late in the flying
season has a different feel to it. Everyone knows that he or she can
rebuild any losses by the next season, so why not take a chance? RC
Combat fliers are more willing to accept the late-season losses with a
devil-may-care attitude.
RADIO CONTROL COMBAT - 2004/12
ONE ASPECT that I don’t often bring up
in this column is some of the variations on
a theme in RC Combat. Since most people
fly Open B, 2610 Scale, and Slow and
Survivable Combat (SSC), I generally
cover those events more frequently, but
there are several other classes of RC
Combat that have active participation.
Radio Control Combat - 2004/01
WITH THE RADIO Control (RC) Combat movement continuing
to grow in the United States, it isn’t surprising to find that there
are almost as many ideas about Combat as there are Combat fliers.
