From the Ground Up - Advanced RC Systems - 2004/02
THIS IS MY 10TH
installment in this initial
phase of the “From the
Ground Up” series. I’ll
be back next month with
some frequently-asked
questions and in the
April issue the emphasis
will shift to fueled models under Frank
Granelli’s expert tutelage.
from the ground up Introduction to Aeromodeling 2003/03
THIS IS THE start of a new series
which has the sole purpose of
attracting people to the hobby and
sport of model aviation. Notice that I
wrote “hobby” and “sport”; the hobby
aspect involves building and assembling
model aircraft, and the sport part involves
the flying. As you will quickly learn, you
don’t have to be a builder to be a flier! But
as time goes along, I hope you will want to
learn to do both.
Frequently Asked Questions - 2004/12
THIS IS THE ninth monthly column in
which I try to give the best possible
answers to questions that you write in or
E-mail to me. Each question is given a
sequential number for identification
purposes.
Frequently Asked Questions - 2005/01
THIS IS THE 10th monthly column in which you write in or Email
your questions, and I try to give you the best possible answers.
Each question is given a sequential number for identification
purposes. Because publication space is limited, part of each month’s
installment will appear here, and the columns in their entirety are
posted on the AMA Web site at www.modelaircraft.org/mag/
faq/index.asp.
Building From Scratch part two - 2004/01
LAST MONTH I took you through the
assembly of the Scratch-One up to
covering and finishing. This month I’ll
start Part Two with the covering and take
you through the Scratch-One’s first
flights. The full-size plans were published
with Part One in the November issue.
