District III Report-2004/12
FOR THE PAST two months, we have been
developing a new Web site for District III. A
new webmaster, Kevin Sheen of Cranberry,
Pennsylvania, has created a format that will
allow all members of the Academy access to
the various interests of our District.
District III Report - 2005/05
THE LEADER CLUB program created by
the AMA is a positive activity in which all
clubs should consider participation. The
program creates constructive club
activities.
So far this year, these District III clubs
have completed their goal for the program.

District III-2011/09
THE BRODAK Control Line meet was the
venue in which John Brodak was surprised
with the Model Aviation Hall of Fame
award. District III Vice President Bob
Brown and District VI Vice President
Charlie Bauer presented the award. John is a
deserving recipient for all his service to the
CL community
District III Report - 2008/05
ED HAWK, president of the Wayne County
RC Club was given the AMA District
Service Award for 30 years of unselfish
leadership and devotion to the sport of
model aviation. Ed Himes presented the
award at a dinner held by the Oldtown
Valley Flyers.
District III - 2010/01
THE HEART of Ohio Huckfest: On
September 11, 12, and 13, 2009, the
Thistledown Flyers hosted the Heart of Ohio
Huckfest at the club’s field in Napoleon,
Ohio. The Huckfest was organized by the
Flying Giants and is one of five such events
held during 2009 across the country.
