Free Flight Scale - 2004/04
HE IS CALLED “the great organizer” of
the Flying Aces Club (FAC), and Lin
Reichel is at the center of today’s FAC. He
has helped make the FAC one of the most
successful Free Flight organizations in the
world. At 76, Lin graciously volunteers
roughly four hours a day to the business (and
pleasures) of the FAC’s growing
membership. He is helped by his wonderful
wife Juanita and his good friends Vic
Didelot, Ross Mayo, and other Erie Model
Aircraft Association members.
FREE FLIGHT SCALE - 2004/10
HI, SKYSTERS! There is lots of news—most of it happy but some
of it sad. Following my old reflex to people saying that they have
“good news and bad news,” I will share the bad news first.
Home of 2010 Flying Aces Nationals
The Flying Aces Club (FAC) Nats is a wild and crazy
reunion of some of the world’s best FF modelers. The 2010
gathering was held in Geneseo, New York, July 13-17. It
included an extra day, to accommodate all of the official and
unofficial events.
Geneseo - 2009/01
CONTESTANTS FROM the US, Canada, England, and Australia
met at Geneseo, New York, July 16-19 to celebrate the 30th
anniversary of Flying Aces Club (FAC) national competitions: FAC
Nats Mark XVI. This premier event ranks as the
largest of its kind in the world, but attendance
was down 10%—probably because of the
sagging US economy and high travel
costs.
2006 Flying Aces Nationals-2007/02
CONTESTANTS FROM the US, Canada, and England met at
Geneseo, New York, July 14-16, 2006, to celebrate the 15th biennial
Flying Aces Club Nationals. The event was the largest gathering of
FF Scale fliers in the world.
