District II - 2012/08

District II has a great mix of
aeromodeling interests. On May 26-
27, the Brooklyn Skyscrapers held its
International Challenge at Barron Field
near Middletown, New York, with FAI,
AMA, and National Free Flight Society
events. Baron Field is located on 770
wide-open acres in Wawayanda, New
York

Members of the Babylon R/C Flyers
of Long Island, New York, celebrated
the closing of their indoor flying
season with a Pizza Fly-In at the West
Babylon Community Center this
spring. The event drew participants
from numerous Long Island clubs who
participated in Pylon Racing, limbo,
and other challenging competitions!
At the event, the Edgewood Flyers
club received an AMA Gold Level
Leader Club Award—the highest
recognition of club activity and
community involvement
