District II-2013/02
I’d like to thank all of our members for participating in the various AMA district elections last fall. I have met so many great people during the past year as District II vice president. I must pause to thank our District II members for giving me the honor of continuing to serve.

It’s fitting that two of the biggest
District II events, the Northeast
Electric Aircraft Technology (NEAT)
Fair and the Rhinebeck Jamboree
cap off the end of our outdoor flying
season. Both of these events have
loyal followers and attract pilots from
numerous eastern states and Canada.

In my travels throughout the district
I’ve learned plenty about our AMA
clubs. While some modelers prefer
to fly with wires, others with radios,
and some use neither, all of us have
something in common; more than we
may realize. Flying together, sharing
our hobby, and helping others are what
we all do best.
AMA News: District II-2012/11
The 2012 District II Fun-Fly was
hosted this past August by the Lazy
Eight R/C Club of Johnstown, New
York. The event was a great gathering
of friends from across the district.
As an all-interest event, numerous
categories were represented. My
30-year-old, 9-foot Nosen Giant Stick
was right at home with a quadcopter.
Everyone had a great time sharing the
sky!
