District II Report - 2009/09
SAFETY: a word we often talk about, but
as I have personally seen at flying events,
not always followed. Many pilots don’t even
realize they may not be as safe as they could
or should be.
District II Reoprt - 2009/08
SINCE THE ARC recommendations have
been made public by the FAA, there has been
much conversation and some concern within
our modeling community, and justifiably so.
It is much too soon to know what the final
rules and regulations will look like. AMA is
actively pursuing this with the FAA and we
will keep you posted if we need the help of all
of you in the district.
District II - 2009/07
ERNIE NICKODEM, longtime associate
vice president (AVP) for western New York,
has decided to step down from this position
on May 1. A classy guy, Ernie has been the
consummate AVP. He is always there at his
club’s events and totally dependable about
sending in articles and reports.
