District II Report - 2009/12

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!
Another year is almost in the books and I
want to thank our associate vice presidents
(AVPs), district webmaster, contest
coordinators, safety coordinator, frequency
coordinator, and contest board members. We
are all AMA volunteers and without your
help, we wouldn’t be able to function

District II-2011/07

WHEN AMA’S Education Director Bill
Pritchett and I were asked to attend Science
Day at Ridgewood High School in New
Jersey, on March 11, we couldn’t say no.
The theme was flight! This was an offshoot
of our attendance at the New Jersey Science
and Engineering festival last fall.

I HAVE HAD a couple of members say
they weren’t able to contact me by e-mail.
Please check to make sure you have copied
the correct e-mail address and not the AMA
District II Web site URL. Most importantly
please put “AMA Business” in the subject
matter space. I receive a couple of hundred
junk e-mails daily and this will alert me to
your message.

District II Report - 2009/10

WE HAVE many outstanding clubs in this
district that put on events for the benefit of
charities and their communities. These clubs
realize that this type of community
involvement pays big dividends later on
when they need the community and political
influence to help save a flying field.

District II - 2011/02

IT IS ALWAYS a pleasure to acknowledge
our Leader Clubs when they achieve
milestones. This year we have two Gold
level Leader Clubs that are celebrating five
years in this capacity: the Aero Radio Club
of Syracuse and the Syracuse Thunderbirds.
