NEW products: Joe Klause at Kustom Kraftsmanship has released his latest price list, featuring reworked Cox engines, assorted kits and construction accessories, custom T-shirts, and more. There are many quality items offered, but one new item in particular qot my attention. KK has developed a new cylinder head assembly for Cox .049/.051 engines which features the Nelson glow plug-the same plug made popular on the .15 and other Nelson engines. The new head is threaded for acceptance by the existing cylinder, and the plug screws into the top of the head.

POWER FLIERS don't publish: So says Keith Hoover, who seeks to solve the problem by editing the 1992 NFFS Resource Book on Power Models-the State of the Art. If the press release I recently received is any indication, this will be quite a formidable effort. It's Keith's intent to cover virtually every aspect of power flying, from the winning current designs to the classics-Satellites, Pearls, Stardusters, etc. Also featured will be sections on individual components and techniques, such as adjustment, finishing, innovative design, international design, props, and fuels.

A TRULY SHEETY IDEA: The June 1991 Duration column contained a photo of the latest in a series of re-entry models I've built in an attempt to re-acclimate myself to Nordic flying. Since a number of people have expressed interested in the design, I'm presenting it here. As the FF team Finals approached last fall, I needed an additional model to give me a reasonable fleet to take to Lost Hills. I became interested in the possibilities of all-sheet wings when doing some catch-up reading of old NFFS Symposium reports, which showed a number of models, particularly those of Peter Allnutt, using this construction.
The Haught Corner
Generational Shift: For some time now, I've felt that we're in the midst of a generational shift in modeling-where the reins are being passed to those of us in our 30s and 40s from those in their 60s and 70s. A recent letter to Rob Kurek illustrates one of the hazards of being a relatively new kid on this block: "Now I'm (and I'd bet a lot of other AMAers) bored silly with the mouthings in `The Haught Corner.' When Mr. Haught, with due respect, gets as old as-oh, Bill Winter, Walt Good, Hal deBolt, me, etc., then maybe he'll have something worthwhile to listen to, but right now I'd rather see either a reader forum or blank pages!"

House of Usher: Please welcome new editor Matt Usher to the MA staff. He joins us from a large publishing house in Indianapolis. Matt is a modeler and photographer in addition to his writing and editing pursuits. Look for some of his work in future issues, once he completes "basic training." Welcome also to Jennifer Jacks, the new AMA Librarian. She is faced with the formidable task of completing the organization of the library and orchestrating its conversion to CD-ROM format for preservation and archival purposes. She will do double-duty in the museum on weekends.
