District IX Report - 2009/12
LOSS OF FLYING SITES is a primary
concern of AMA as well as numerous local
clubs. Crosswinds RC Club in Parker,
Colorado, provided commentary about how
they dealt with this potential problem. Club
president, Tim Kagele, tells the tale:
District IX-2011/07
BY NOW I am sure most of you are aware
that Dave Mathewson, our past AMA
president, is now AMA’s new executive
director. I am sure that everyone here in
District IX wishes Dave and his wife,
Ginger, the very best in their new adventure
in Muncie, Indiana. Dave is a tireless worker
and has demonstrated that the well-being of
the Academy is on the top of his priority list.
District IX Report - 2009/11
ASSOCIATE vice presidents (AVPs), are
the valuable conduits that link local clubs to
AMA. I am proud to announce that Zac
Heskin is our new AVP representing the
North Dakota area.
Zac is 23 years old and resides in
Garrison, North Dakota. Zac is replacing
Troy Lapp who has done a great job over the
last several years. A few words from Zac:

TO
RECOGNIZE
the leadership of
the best modeling clubs, AMA has
established the AMA Leader Club awards.
These awards can be earned by any AMA
chartered club by meeting certain standards
of community service and activity.
District IX - 2011/02
AMA WAS well represented at the National
League of Cities conference held in Denver,
Colorado. Hundreds of cities in addition to
those in District IX were represented. The
hall was filled with mayors, alderman, city
councilmen, and other governmental
agencies.
