District X Report - 2010/05
THIS HOBBY wouldn’t be what it is
without its volunteers. From every chartered
club up to the AMA Executive Council,
AMA is filled with them. These volunteers
spend countless hours helping the hobby that
they, and we, all enjoy.
They don’t get paid and not only does it
take time away from their flying, it takes
time away from their families. This hobby,
among many others, couldn’t exist without
its volunteers
AMA News District X - 2010/04
IT IS WITH GREAT SADNESS that I
report our District X Vice President Jim
Giffin passed away on Sunday January 31.
Jim loved his wife and family, and he served
our country with pride, but I want you all to
know, Jim was so proud to be your vice
president, and that the district was very
important to him.
District X - 2010/12
ON FRIDAY, September 24, 2010, the
Turlock Remote Control Club was cleared
for takeoff for its 19th annual Lake
McSwain Float-Fly.
District X - 2010/11
I have added a new Member Photos
section to your District X Web site! Pictures
can be of anything hobby-related, it doesn’t
matter. If you like it, we will too.

FINDING AND KEEPING flying sites is
possibly the most important issue for us
modelers. I have known good clubs that have
lost their flying fields for any number of
reasons—some theirs, some not.
