District XI - 2012/07
Let me first introduce our newest
associate vice president, Gene Stone,
from East Wenatchee, Washington.
Gene has been active in the Red Apple
Flyers of Wenatchee for many years
and I am sure he will be a useful asset
to those of you with questions and/or
concerns in central Washington.
District XI - 2012/09
The Bell Air R/C Flyers Club of
Bellingham, Washington, hosted its
23rd Annual Big Bird at Bell Air event
June 2 and 3, 2012, as reported by CD
Gerry Becker. The two-day event had 22
registered pilots and 43 Big Birds.
AMA News: District XI-2012/11
AMA and District XI recently lost a
longtime modeler, Pattern champion,
past National Society of Radio
Controlled Aerobatics president,
associate vice president, and MA
contributor, Rick Allison. Rick did much
to further the sport of model aviation,
especially Pattern competition, and our
general enjoyment of the sport. Rick will
be remembered with a brick in the AMA
Walk of Fame and AMA’s Distinguished
Service Award among other tributes.

AMA and District XI lost a longtime
modeler: Chris Barker. Chris was a
friend to all and was always present
when there was a task to be done that
furthered the sport of model aviation
and our enjoyment thereof. Chris
will be remembered with a brick in
the AMA Walk of Fame among other
tributes.
Disrict XI - 2012/08

vice president (AVP), Al Watson, from
Bellevue, Washington. Al has been
active in the Jet Pilot’s Organization,
Pylon Racing, and the Marymoor RC
Club for many years. He will be a
useful asset to those who have concerns
in western Washington. Welcome to
the district team, Al.
