RC Giants - 2012/10
Warbirds Over Delaware
One of my all-time favorite Giant Scale events is Warbirds Over Delaware
(WOD). For 21 years, the Delaware R/C Club has hosted this wonderful
event at Lums Pond State Park, located in Kirkwood, Delaware. Any
military aircraft of any era that meets International Miniature Aircraft Association
(IMAA) specifi cations is welcome to participate.
Radio Control Giants - 2007/10
Futaba six-channel FASST 2.4 GHz spread spectrum radio system
THE MAJOR TOPIC of conversation at
the local flying field lately has been 2.4
GHz and spread spectrum. The latest in RC
technology began hitting the shelf
approximately a year ago. First used in
conjunction with the smaller park flyer-type
models, AMA has approved this technology
for any size of AMA-legal RC model.
Radio Control Giants - 2010/11
I THOROUGHLY ENJOY receiving e-mail from readers,
especially when they share helpful information. For the August issue
I wrote a simple piece about how to paint a canopy frame that
included photos to go along with the few steps involved.
Radio Control Giants - 2007/11
WHEN I WRITE a column about RC Giant aircraft I make every
attempt to include the maximum number of photos allowed. I am
allotted six photos per monthly column, although occasionally I can
submit one or two extra upon request. I’m happy to note that the
magazine staff has been supportive in this regard.
RADIO CONTROL GIANTS - 2004/07
I AM FRUSTRATED by the long, cold, and miserable winter of
2004. The Northeast weather has again delayed the first flight of the
Kangke (SuperKraft) 96-inch Rearwin Speedster ARF. Keep in mind
that this column is being written in late February or early March.
