Having returned home from spending
two-and-a-half days at the July EC
meeting, I came away amazed at the
amount of work being done on behalf
of all of us. From youth educational
outreach, flying site assistance, the
FAA issues, museum upgrades, to the
bringing of Model Aviation online—the
list goes on and on.

One of the more satisfying gifts our
hobby brings to us is that of sharing
our experiences with others. To
witness the pure joy on the faces of
those taking their first flights is, as the
ad says: “priceless.”

Hello everyone! Let me start by
thanking all who supported me in the
recent AMA elections. For those who
didn’t, I hope to earn your confidence
and trust.
District VII Report - 2012/06
The weather wasn’t my original choice
to begin this month’s column, but the
beautiful stretch of days we’ve had
in March in most parts of the district
deserved some mention. Where I live, in
southeast Michigan, we had a string of
70º and 80º days that lasted nearly two
weeks. I hope you had a chance to get
out to the field and get some flying in. It
was a welcome relief from being holed
up in the shop all winter
