Control Line Scale - 2007/08
“AN IMMEDIATE NEED!” Those were the words I used to start my
first CL Scale column in the September 1982 MA. Now, 25 years later,
I am calling for the same thing: help.
Control Line Scale - 2010/12
In the OctOber column I wrote about
the three-line control system and the
necessity of having a balanced setup to
provide maximum safety and good flight
performance.

The Scale Contest Board ratifies an emergency rules proposal affecting CL Scale
THE SCALE Contest Board ratified an emergency rules-change
proposal that will have an impact on all CL Scale flying. The
change revises the table that specifies what the pull test should be
for all CL Scale models at various weights and line lengths.
There is also a table that lists lap times for various line lengths,
assuming the model’s speed to be 60 mph.

JS: How did you get involved in model aviation?
CONTROL LINE SCALE - 2004/07
IT HAS BEEN quite some time since I
covered some of the basics associated with
building our Scale models. I know that what
I will write about may be old news to many
of our advanced CL modelers (Scale or
otherwise), but there is always a new group
of modelers coming along, and some of
what I write here may be beneficial to them.
