Vintage Radio Control Society Fly-In

VESTAL, New York—Monday, June 2,
2003: It’s time to leave home for one of the
Vintage Radio Control Society’s (VR/CS’s)
annual reunions, to be held June 4-5. The
models are loaded in my van and my travel
trailer is hooked up, so it’s off to meet old
friends, make new ones, and see what vintage
Radio Control (RC) airplanes and control
systems they brought to AMA’s International
Aeromodeling Center in Muncie, Indiana.

AGS Retro - 2008/02

THIS IS THE story of a little sky-blue model that became famous
even before it learned how to fly. I am referring to the airplane on
the club logo of the Aeroguidance Society, Inc.—one of the oldest
RC clubs in the US.

VR/CS Spirit of Selinsgrove Reunion - 2005/02

EVERY LABOR DAY weekend for the past 15 years, members
of the Vintage Radio Control Society (VR/CS) have gathered
somewhere in the northeast and flown their vintage airplanes to
commemorate the early years of radio control, when our pioneers
gathered at a small airport in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania.
The Selinsgrove gatherings, held in the 1960s, brought
together radio and model-design talent from many states to show
off their latest creations and compare experiences. Members from
Florida, North Carolina, Illinois, Michigan, Canada, and most of
the northeastern states attended this year’s reunion, which was
held in Endicott, New York, and hosted by VR/CS Chapter III of
the Aeroguidance Society.
