District IX - 2014/12
My best to you this holiday season. I have enjoyed meeting and corresponding with all of you this past year and hope to continue that journey next year. Thank you all for your kindness.
District IX - 2014/11
Tom Neff was once again an instructor at the Model Aircraft and Remote Control Flight Academy (MARC) for Civil Air Patrol cadets in Salina, Kansas. Here are a few highlights from his adventure.
District IX - 2014/10
I stayed a couple of days after the summer AMA Executive Council meeting to take in a few sights at the Nats. Watching the Intermediate Pattern, flying I caught some images of Greyson Pritchett, son of AMA Education Director Bill Pritchett. Proud papa Bill called for young Greyson, who did well in this competitive Pattern event. Watch for Greyson’s name in the future as his flying career develops.
District IX - 2014/09
I had the pleasure of attending the Heart of America Float Fly, held May 31-June 1, at Lake Miola, in Paola, Kansas. This event is spearheaded by Darrell Watts and was hosted by the R/C Barnstormers. The club’s president, Pat McGee, was the CD and he and his crew produced a fun and well-organized event.
District IX
One of District IX’s early season events is the Lamar Steen Memorial International Miniature Aerobatic Club (IMAC) Challenge, organized by the Miniature Aero Sportsters (MAS) in northeast Denver, Colorado. MAS has hosted this low-key competition four years running and it was my second year attending.
