AMA’s roots are in competition. One of the reasons AMA was organized was to standardize, record, and facilitate competitions. With that in mind, I’d like to encourage all of you to take part in some competitive flying this season.

My first order of business as your new vice president (VP) is to say thanks to Jim Wallen for his service as District IX VP. Jim has certainly been a mentor to me and I will continue to rely on him for advice as I learn this new job.
