Another month has slipped by. It seems as though we are flying through 2014 at supersonic speeds.

The summer has flown by, and that is to be expected with everything that has been happening over the last month. There is still plenty of time to fly before the season is over.

I hope all of you have been following the FAAs interpretation of the Special Rule for Model Aircraft. Maybe by the time you receive this, the debate will be over, but I have my doubts. There will be plenty about this in the magazine and on the website, so I will not dwell on it. I do hope everyone had a chance to go to the FAA’s website and voice an opinion about the interpretation.
District VI
For many of us, the weather bounced from winter into summer in matter of a couple of days. Flying weather is back in full swing. I attended several events in May, starting with the Golden Valley R/C Club’s Spring Fun-Fly. The club president, Scott Martin, and his crew did a fine job running the event.
